I was invited to attend this ritual which is conducted yearly by the elders of the Chinese community as it is believe to provide peace offering to the wondering ghost.
It is believed that the Ghost was allowed to roam free during the Chinese 7th month every year as the hell gates are open. During this month the older generation will not allow their young to roam till late night and weddings for the Chinese community is a definitely a no.
This customary ritual is conducted at Pulau Melaka, by a modest group of people seeking peace and safety during their work in the man made island.
